The Spirit & The Shavuot Harvest

There's no shortage of ideas believers have on what it is to be Spirit-Filled. But there's a revelation on what the Spirit-filled is about, that comes from the Hebrew. The Spirit came on the Day of Pentecost. Pentecost is the Greek name for a Hebrew feast - the Feast of Shavuot, the Biblical Feast of Harvest. So the Spirit came on the Feast of Harvest. Of all possible days, for the Spirit to come, He came on the Feast of harvest. Why is that significant? It reveals the deep connection between the Spirit and the harvest. The truly Spirit-filled believer is the one who goes out into the harvest, into the Lord's work, and into the Great Commission, to bring salvation to the lost. For those who have the power of the Spirit can't help but go out, overflow, and bring life to the lost. And if you're going into the harvest, the Spirit will especially anoint you. So go out, spread the Gospel, go forth in ministry, and bring life, for the Spirit came on Shavuot, and that means the truly Spirit-filled, are the people of the harvest.
